i don't have any of your wants available but i have a few blood lillies and lots of pinecone or shampoo ginger.not sure if you are familiar with the pinecone ginger or not the flower head has a liquid which i use as a hand lotion, but they say its a good hair conditioner also. let me know if you are willing to trade. if you don't want any of these would you consider postage instead???

Hey, you've just started. I literally cannot get on the lily auction without seeing something I "need". I have over 300, and I am a beginner compared to a lot here on the forum. In Dallas, you can bet they will stay green. I am in central Alabama, and here, the dormants disappear in winter. All my others look a little "ratty" by the time spring arrives, but they quickly improve. I suggest you mark all of them, because you will want to know what is where, and your memory, however good it may be, won't be that good. some people use mini blinds that they cut into pieces and write the name on the piece. Me? I'm the idiot that puts these labels up on the plants ...the labels are still beautiful after 5 years, however. I figure as much as I may pay for the daylily, its worth a little extra for the label, but that is me. They will not be the raving beauties of bloom season. But bloom season is so beautiful, it is worth it. Here is my front bed last week with the red tulips lighting it up. Here are a couple when blooms start: They are not as neat as the rose between flushes, but I love the silly things. You are going to have so much fun! Welcome to the obsession. That looks like Dizzy to me - I tried it last year and it's one of my favourites. The flowers are SO big and fragrant and perfect. You'll love Stargazer too. I bet you're hooked! I started with asiatic lilies which aren't as showy as the orientals (what you have) - not as frilly and usually the flowers are not as big. But asiatics grow better for me and are TOUGH. My mature bulbs now have stalks that are 4-5 feet tall, and in good years have 25-30 buds per plant. This year wasn't a good year and there were still 15-20 buds on most plants. There are lots of strong bright colours like orange, yellow, red, as well as mixes (pink one with red edges, red with orange throat, white with yellow center, etc). That's what got me hooked (I am trying to get you hooked!). The orientals are smaller here and often don't get many buds but the few flowers I do get are always worth it. I love how they scent the entire garden. Happy growing! cnid

I was surprised when I first discovered seeds on my cannas and they have been easy to germinate for me (and I'm not big on growing from seed). I don't know if they come true from seed, I think depends on plant. In my case, both were species, so they did come true. Was pleased that they bloomed the very first season so if they don't come true you can always yank and save for a swap without investing too much time or real estate on them. Many of the fancy hybrids are sterile and do not produce seed but I've read of cases where people found seed pods and planted. I can't say what the outcome was. again. worth trying and ditching if it doesn't meet expectations
