O Dear you are in the wars ashke, now there is only one thing left to do, you will have to get your doggy a mate, sounds like the dear little Opps big puppy you have needs a mate to play with then it wont have time to make mischief, and there wont be any of this 1am little noises you are experiencing. ---------------------------------- My dog used to go berserk when I scattered Blood and Bone around the plants so yes I can imagine you doggy doing the same thing with the bags of cow manure best they are locked up in the garden shed out of harms way. So sorry to hear that you have been hurt in the process but I would be blaming the assistant not the poor doggy its in enough trouble now..Cheers up it wont be long and you will look great again, and chalk it up to experience and by time you are on say your fourth dog, you will know everything, and sit back and laugh as all the antics your Hooligan did when it was a puppy... dogs and manure are a painful combination! if they arent eating it, theyre rolling in it the little buggers. on the way back up the back steps, mine often stops off at a pot for a nibble of yummy chook poo pellets. dogs just love that type of thing, manure, blood and bone, it's all good to them. yes as mm suggested, I would put the bags in the shed out of hooligan's reach. as for the shop assistant hitting you in the face with the wire, well that's just plain rude ;) , hope your lip heals soon

Well you will have some stories to tell at the party. Hope you left your name and number at hardware store, workplace health & safety would be frowning! Anyway yes, if all damage heals you will have some giggles in years to come over the hooligan. Mine disdains the green fertilizers but as MM said, B&B is sooo attractive, and Dynamic lifter pellets. Awful too think what must go in inside with all this stuff fermenting. Good luck with the fencing re-inforcements and above all, remember that gardening is dangerous!

thank you all for your good wishes...I really do love my hooligan; I just never know what he'll think up next to amuse himself!! lol. MM, hate to tell you this, but he IS my fourth dog! rofl. And yes, they have all loved B&B, chook pellets etc, but this one also loves trying to catch a drink from the watering can if I'm using Seasol, and the others, though a bit destructive as pups, never thought up cruel and unusual ways to torture my terracotta pots and spare pavers!

Ouch! Hope it heals soon. A friend of mine was getting some treatment on her nose just before Christmas, which left her nose a bright shiny red - guess what her nickname was - Rudolph! My dogs love their manure preferably as fresh as possible :( Good luck with your fellow and don't forget big dogs aren't considered mature until at least 2yrs of age.

Mmmm, cow poo, yummm! At least that's what my dog says. Even mushroom compost will be devoured for the manure in it. It's a bit like having kids.....you wonder why you had them sometimes, but you couldn't do without them. I guess there's more good than bad stuff. Even husbands can fall into that category! LOL.
