This is so nice to read! I love to get and give compliments. One of my favorite ones, though, was about my daughter. She and I were touring a historical hotel (The Baker, built in the 20s, closed in the 70s), when she was 4 (she's 21 now). It was extremely derelict, and our tour group had to climb the very narrow employees' stairs for each floor. It was a long tour, but very fun to see and hear about what was once a place movie stars stayed. It was quite creepy, too. The tour guide told great stories. Anyway, after the tour, an older couple approached us and went on and on about how impressed they were by her good behavior. They told me I was obviously raising a wonderful young girl. Wow! It made my week. :)

Wow, sold out already. I'm not surprised. Well, at least she plans on propagating more. Maybe she is able to get it to root easily. I know she does bud some roses. I thought I had lost my SILK HAT rose this past spring, and emailed her to see if she had it in stock, but she told me she was out, and if I wanted it she would have to bud it. I guess she found it difficult to root. Thankfully tho, my own root one from Vintage Gardens came back from near death. I was sooo glad! Well, hopefully Cynthia, you and anyone else wanting STRANGER can get one in the next batch. I couldn't remember who all wanted it. So that's why I just posted this in general in hopes it would reach those who do want it badly!

It will take more time because it is deeply rooted amidst desirable plants and has a well established root system. The others were in a recently well maintained bed and were easily pulled. It too will be pulled shortly though. Thanks for the info.

What a terribly tragic story, IdaClaire :( I'm in the UK and DH and I have bought/sold on ebay for about twelve years. We've met some lovely people, have delivered large items/had buyers collect at our home and only ever had one dodgy experience........ About eight years ago we were selling a large leather sectional sofa and had a guy hit the buy it now button. He then made contact on the phone regarding pick up, saying he would be borrowing a van and coming from about 100 miles away with a friend late that evening, bringing cash (a few hundred £££). We got the impression English wasn't his first language, but thought nothing of it. Anyway, we waited and waited and almost gave up when midnight came but he did not. Then, when we were about to go to bed at about 1am he arrived. Turned out he and his friend were Nigerian and he didn't have a UK driving licence, which I guess was why they came so late, assuming there would be less police about! He handed over the cash, DH helped them into the van with the sofa and I headed off to bed. Next thing I knew DH came upstairs to say the guys wanted him to guide them out of town back to the motorway and asked if he'd drive ahead so they could follow him!!! I immediately told DH it was a terrible idea and he should decline, but he'd already agreed. The next twenty minutes seemed to last a lifetime as I awaited the sound of DH's car on our driveway.......I was convinced they were going to attack him out in the dark somewhere, but he arrived safely home without any issues. It was an odd experience, nonetheless! Nowadays, we do the same as Delilah, and have the item(s) up at our garage which is away from our main entry to the house, so buyers picking up don't get to see inside our property. DH deals with them and is never home alone when pick ups happen.
