Another Hollyhock has opened.

Thank you Bev for the seeds this is the result mind you its another one that has been eaten by caterpillars

and bugs who just about stripped off most of the leaves and buds I collected and disposed of hundreds of them.

Then it flew over to the Eucalyptus torelliana and had another feed.

Would you believe they have made another nest in that same tree just as unstable:

A beautiful rose that is not doing too well, but its a newie so I will give it a couple of seasons.

Man, what beautifully clear photos~~well done young lady!!! My hollyhock jolly well hasn't opened yet and you've had two o:( no fair!! We are having such funny weather tho...cold wind all day today and going down to 7 tonight..Brrr...the poor plants are probably confused!!

Sorry to hear that you are having cold weather in this late time of Spring.
Tina you have made my day, you are so sweet with the young lady bit. Feeling my age today,
As I had to get up at 4:30am to water my garden and my lovely neighbours who is holidaying in Scotland.

But take a look beyond the fence. There is still a lot of our property. so in the fall I threw all the marigold, Datura la fleur and zinnia's over the fence. today I went looking. Do you have to pay extra for that? If not, its more exposure, it can't hurt. On the other hand, if thats "extra", you've had two, and you've already been on the market, its been seen, not necessary.

4.30 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is just so wrong!!! o:) man, I'm battling to get up at 7am!! Yes it has been cool, but I must admit that I'm enjoying it as I know what's coming....they say it will be very hot this summer. I have been a bit quiet this week....have been a bit uninspired I'm afraid...but I aim on getting a load of sheep poo on Friday so that will keep me busy for the day!!Mmmmmm, I can smell it already o:)....Tina

Thats the powers that be Tina they say we can only water our gardens with a hose three times a week from 7pm to 7am I have tried watering in the dark while getting bitten by mozzies its no good for us oldies. So it better to get up bright and early just as dawn is breaking such a beautiful time of the day. Gee I don't envy you that job especially it its hot and windy, no chance of a day like that I hope.

Bev they are not growing very tall about 60cms (2 ft) and one of the plants was eaten so much none of the flowers have opened but it has started to grow another branch on the side so I may get to see it flower after all.

Heather yes this nest it just as bad as the last one buts its much higher than that ladder I usually climb up.

The hollyhock is lovely and so are your pics MM - your new camera is doing a great job as well as you:-). I guess somewhere in the posts you have said what you bought - I will have a trawl.

Super pictures Misty. That hollyhock is almost like a paeony by the picture, so beautiful. I remember in UK just EVERYBODY used to grow hollyhocks and paeonies. Don't you dare go climbing up ladders. When you are getting a little bit older, bones take longer to repair and what will happen to the garden if you are in hospital?
