I would agree with both Kathy & Karl. Keep in a well lighted spot inside,water regularly, add a minute amount of a balanced (20-20-20 ) Fertilizer (about 1/8 th the suggested amount.) to the water once a every couple of weeks. When the chance of frost has past, then plant in a bright spot that is well drained in your garden. Enjoy. Bill

Here are some that I grow that might fit the bill. However, I can't say much about their blackspot resistance because that is only rarely seen in my area. Polly Sunshine. A VERY cheerful bright yellow little polyantha bred by Ralph Moore. Mine is growing in a pot and flowers a lot. Lots of petals, old fashioned look. Absolutely lovely mid to light yellow cupped flowers. Fragrant and nearly thornless. Prolific bloomer. Said to be disease resistant but it is new to the USA. Angel Gardens in Florida has recently imported it. Happy Child. A very pretty small Austin with intense yellow flowers. Excellent scent. Really a wonderful little rose here. A polyantha. Flowers look white but actually open a very pale yellow and rapidly turn white. Tiny flowers scented of honey. Few thorns. A blooming fool! Mine flowers here 12 months of the year with next to no feeding. Bushy, with leaves and flowers all the way to the ground. I rescued one of my own roses. From the trash that is. I received not one but two Anne Marie de Montravels that were so thick with spider mites the leaves hard turned whitish. I did not know what the issue was at first so I let them hang out with my other roses. By the time I figured out the problem they had all been in a closed area together for weeks. Anyway I got mad and three the two AmdM's in the garbage. A good friend insisted I fetch them from the trash and try something a little more thoughtful. So I retrieved them, pulled off all the leaves of both, potted them up and left them back at my semi sunny potting station until about three weeks ago. One had terrible PM so again I threw it away. The other had several cute little buds and looked clean so I planted it. Seems to be growing well now so I'm glad I gave them another chance. Kate

There's no need to separate the rootings. You can plant your rose(s) as if it were one plant in one pot. Nurseries commonly multi-stick cuttings for the mist house to guarantee a better take. When the whole thing is planted as one rose it does just fine. Some people "pot-up" their roses, but I have always put my plants into the pot they are going to live in for the rest of their rosy lives and they have thrived. Just make sure they have good drainage and enough sun and don't let them get completely dry. I also make a practice of washing the underside of the leaves of my potted roses to avoid infestations of spider mites. When I plant a mini into a pot, I put in about a tbsp of bone meal and a tbsp of 10-10-10 time released fertilizer at the bottom of the planting hole and then don't feed the plant again until I see new growth.
