That's funny. I have a two year old who like unripened tomato and, strangely, strawberries. Its been tough keeping her out of the garden long enough for my fruit to ripen, every time I turn around she has some green tomato or strawberry in her mouth, sour grimace on her face and the words Yummy in my tummy muffling through her full mouth. Funny and frustrating =)

This looks like something that, if we'd seen it in say, 1975, we'd ooh and ahh over. But now, it looks kind of silly. What are all those screens on the wall, are they photo frames? Is that a TV or computer to the left of the fridge embedded in the upper cabs? If TV, why do you need it? There's a large screen in the breakfast area a few feet away. You're not going to have both of them on at the same time. A computer on the island (getting splashed as you prep?) and two on the desk. And is that a sink in the island? Or some kind of trash recepticle? And yes, the shape of the island is awkward. IME curve rounded things look cool and sometimes are necssary due to the space, but are never ideal for either a useful workspace or storage. It's amazing how many kitchens I've noticed since doing my own that go for the look over the functionality. Cool, sleek, ornate, gorgeous.... all fine IF the kitchen works well. Otherwise, the look is just a lot of wasted design. I would guess none of the designers of this kitchen A. are cooks and B. have every remodeled their own kitchens. Thanks for posting!

There's a gal on the cross stitch board i frequent who gave her niece a recipe for something that was made with campbells soup and other things.The niece went to the store to get all the ingredients,and couldn't find them all according to her.So she calls her aunt and said i looked all over that store for a "can of Water" and couldn't find it.Auntie almost fell over laughing,as what she meant was after you empty the can of soup,fill the can with water,but the niece didn't read it that way. Her aunt thought it was soooooooooo funny she designed a cross stitch pattern using the campbells label only added canned Water to it instead of soup.She stitched it for her niece and sent it into Country Cooking magazine and they published it.This was a few years ago.Tooooooooooo Funny.
