Hello all! Now Petrushka, I must say AMAZING and you must love every plant you have just as much as they love you:-) It shows. Toni! How do you do that????You got your Aloe to flower and I too have been trying for years. Nice job and did I tell you how much I love your pictures, here, and in your Flicker account?:-) Look at those pretty flowers !! Purple, are you still following this? Purple? What in the world is that most handsome plant you posted on Nov 6 at 18:06~ That very very red stemmed one? Is that really a Cordyline? I never saw on that red or that vivid. Very nice. Stush...You know I feel the same about you too. You are a good man and very kind:-) Elkay!@ !!!!!!! What do you want to trade for a pup of the most white San's on the right??????? Just ask, and you shall receive! If you ever want to, please let me know. I have a fondness for that color and that one. I love it Elkay! Thank you for sharing with me since you know I love that type of variegation!:-) Shoot! What a cute family of plants you have there. So many different kinds. Oh, it would be so nice if you could just leave them there in good light, right. So nice:-) What's the dark leaf one in the far right corner.?

Thanks! Yeah, I don't understand selling sedums so pricy! They root with speed and don't need any special attention. My last quarter of school (spring 06)one of my classmates wanted to do some sedum as part of her final crop. I supplied her with pieces from every type I had and she made even more pieces out of what I gave. She ended up with a gazillion plants to sell LOL!! All of these rooted within 5 days. The sedum reflexum in my first post is a moderate spreader. Another one I CANT rid of and have tried, is the Sedum album. This one will engulf the world and I SWEAR they continue to grow in winter!! This would really be a nice one to cover a bank or area where nothing else is planned to go and it does start turning a nice deep purple beginning now; covered in white flowers in spring. Here's a pic taken June 28th last year...not very good. The same area on Mar 22nd this year....I ripped these all out last fall but as you can see they came back! It just takes a few dropped pieces :O ...and then in May.... Also taken March 22th...Here's a section that got it self started (from no doubt one tiny leaf)outside the bed. It's starting to green up again and lose the purple. You can also see the Sedum reflexum still bright orange growing beside the Sedum reflexum 'Blue Spruce', The 'Blue Spruce' is a soft blue in summer but mute purple/grey in winter... Sedum reflexum in flower on July 3rd... I'm not sure what the name of this one is, but here it is in bright yellow flowers over very low bright green foliage. It never exceeds 3" and is a pretty good self-starter but not even close to Sedum album! Spread is moderate... Here is S. reflexum and S. album blooming side by side on June 29th... Here is varigated Sedum spurium in flower. Summer color is variegated white/green...winter it turns bright rosy pink; spread is slow... Of course I have Sedum 'Autumn Joy' but everyone knows what that one looks like :D Vera

Following up on some greenhouse questions- Westgirl - I did design it myself, I wouldn't call it easy but, you can certainly do it yourself. One recommendation - if you do build your own start in spring, this way you have a lot of time to work out the kinks. My watering setup is a simple timed based automatic irrigation system, normally off until the summer, When they need watering every other day. In the winter I just water by hand as needed. Mike - The frame is 2'' PVC. its strong and flexes a little, its available and not that expensive if you mess up a cut. The plastic is called greenhouse film, 6mil bought from a greenhouse supply store online. Heating is electric with a backup gas heater, just in case. Mksmith - Dimentions are roughly 30ft long 12ft deep and about 9ft at the tallest spot in the center, its a decent size. Heating is a challenge sometimes. Like I mentioned above, Heating is electric with a backup gas heater, just in case. The good thing as its fairly well insulated but, last night when it dropped to 16F it struggled to keep it above 40F, but it did :)

Thanks for the pics! I saw a scape and trying to open blossom cluster on a Hosta out there this morning as well. Strange fall. Happy Trails, HH
