I found this page at the University of Florida for anyone in Florida with questions about how to grow in Florida.. However it has general plant info which could be useful to everyone.. I copied a small section on pollination from the attached link I listed below.. Pollination is essential for fruit production on passion vines. Flowers of the purple passion vine normally set fruit when self-pollinated, but many yellow passion vines will not set fruit unless their flowers are dusted with pollen from a different vine that is genetically compatible. Thus, 2 plants grown from cuttings taken from the same vine cannot pollinate each other. Moreover, some vines from a group of seedlings can cross-pollinate and others cannot. This must be learned by trial and error as the plants develop. Ordinarily, many opportunities for cross-pollination exist in a large seedling population. Rina, I think that you're right. I was just trying to point out that, even given good conditions, I wouldn't expect an Adenium to start growing now (unless it's in the tropics or the southern hemisphere). Also, that it's unlikely for an Adenium to grow well in an office environment. I think, in this case, the problem is probably due to soil that stays too wet, and is made worse by the plant not getting enough sun.

I've read many research studies on the subject of blossom drop with a unanimous conclusion that night time temps and humidity effect the rate of blossom drop more than day time conditions. I'm confused why you're focused on more watering in the day than addressing conditions during the night or looking into other potential causes, but the humidity/temps recommended are considered "Ideal" and doesn't mean they won't produce well outside the "ideal" parameters. If you calculate the VDP based only on Temp/RH the results will be skewed if leaf temp isn't used, and a 1 degree difference could change you VDP from low to a healthy transpiration rate and daytime conditions could be just fine. If your concerned of day time conditions use your shade screens, the photoprotection process plants use will adjust and reduced photosynthesis will be negligible or not even change and the Temp will drop slightly which will raise RH and lower leaf temps making things "Ideal". Or properly positioned fans will achieve leaf temp drop again changing your VDP to a healthy level. Lastly you could use a "swamp" or evaporate cooling to raise RH and lower temperatures in the greenhouse.
