McTavish, with some of your photos I noticed you eliminated objects surrounding your featured hostas. That would be a great way to isolate a particular hosta or planting from its background before cutting it out. Then, laying it on top of another photo background, along with several other individual cutouts, you'd have a "bed" built up of heavy duty photo papers. They would tend to work standing up when attached across the bottom edge with some sort of "tab".....then lie down when you closed the popup. Your photos would be beautiful done this way on your annual calender. Just an idea. When you get to June in the year, right in the centerfold would be a great spot for the popup of your garden. I'd like to see some diorama at the entrance to a large garden, say Bellingrath Gardens here in Mobile, before I tour it. A flat map is okay, but to get the feel for the geography and directions and sunlight, a diorama would keep me oriented.

KSWL, I bought the book yesterday and finished it today. While I don't think I would read another of the author's books, I have to say the story of "Still Alice" was compelling, and while some of the writing was decidedly amateurish it is not awful. I think, though, that the main draw is that the subject of the book and the protagonist is something a lot of readers will identify with. As for the movie, I won't be seeing that for a few weeks, but the NY'er and NYTimes reviews also said the film sort of flinched rather than being as authentic as it could be. Funny aside, I learned the word "anomia' reading the (2009) book today. It means when you cannot find a word. I recently taught my kids the word "aphasia" and now they tease me that I have aphasia all the time. Anyway, i learned the related word "anomia", and mentioned it to DH over lunch. Then at 5:17pm my DD1 gets her "word of the day" email from Dictionary.com. And the word is ... anomia! Bizarre.

Well, I surprised myself with that one! ! Yes, as Outside Playing said, 'ambulate' is walking, so it just about has to be tightrope walker. Although the 'fun' as the first syllable makes me think maybe a clown? They walk, too. Rusty

Obviously, the room can't go 'glam' - but here's a little jewelry - https://www.homedepot.com/p/Liberty-Unity-3-or-3-3-4-in-76-or-96-mm-Center-to-Center-Satin-Nickel-Dual-Mount-Drawer-Pull-P20385C-SN-C/203244601 -------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.homedepot.com/p/Liberty-1-1-2-in-38mm-Satin-Nickel-and-Natural-Aqua-Sea-Glass-Cabinet-Knob-P31017C-MUL-C/206173359?MERCH=REC--pipinstock--206808027--206173359--N ----------------------------------------------------------- https://www.homedepot.com/p/Liberty-Luxe-Square-1-2-5-in-36-mm-Dual-Tone-Cocoa-Bronze-and-Satin-Nickel-Cabinet-Knob-P33769C-CO-C/206613725#overlay
