After buying some hampers for disadvantaged at Christmas ... ... and cakes for coffee hour after church on Mother's Day, the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out) had enough in the coffee hour kitty to take us all out to the buffet for lunch today. It used to be Senior Men's Coffee Hour (on Thursday mornings), but they changed the name to ROMEO (second childhood getting to them, I think). I suggested the name, "ROMDO" (Retired Old Men Drinking Out ... which makes sense, as it's based on coffee, no?). That idea went over like lead bricks. Maybe due to the fact that, before church union just prior to my birth, that congregation was Methodist?? I hope that you've all had a lovely day. It rained yesterday, and I'm overdue for planting more garden, so I think that I should be home, busy at that, rather than yakking to you guys. ole joyful

My mom passed when i was only 9,so i would have to say what she instilled up to that point,then after that my dad and siblings.We are a very close family,and i'm # 10 of 12.So a lot of examples were set for me. We all often say that we know our parents would be proud of how we turned out. Kathi

I can think of a few: Makayla and Kaden's Mom Michele (my oldest and two hours away), Daniele (my youngest daughter) she lives in California, my friend Lisa (she lives in NY) also Stacey who lives in NC. Hey this sounds like I need to either get away or I need to invite them all here to MD! Deb
