Got Highspeed today. Earthlink dial up box still coming up

As Bob said, a check in never dial a connection, and if you see Earthlink there, remove it. I found Earthlink in the registry 6 months after I used the add/remove to uninstall. The way I found these was with RegSeeker, 'Find in registry' & 'Search for' and typed in Earthlink. or if you wanted, start/run/regedit/edit/find/type>earthlink

Mulch, mulch and still weeds coming thru!
Q
Comments (6)
I always put down a layer of newspaper (and wet it) before I mulch - about 6 to 8 sheets - making sure to place it a few inches from the plants. This helps keep down the weeds growing through the mulch. The newspaper breaks down of course, so you have to do this every year (or perhaps twice, if you mulch in spring and in fall) before putting down new mulch. If your area is small enough, you could rake up the mulch and lay some paper down and remulch. Otherwise, as mxk says, use a rake or "claw" (just what the heck IS the name of that tool? :) I can't live without mine!) and cultivate lightly and the weeds should come out easily. Just yesterday I finally had some time to do some work in the vegetable garden. It's been very dry here, and I thought my newly planted cukes and tomatoes needed some mulch. I didn't get to shred as many leaves as I usually do last fall (my mulch of choice), and had nothing on hand, so I cut up old leaf bags, ones which the bottoms had rotted on anyway (I re-use these things till they literally fall apart), laid that down, and then mulched with shredded paper. Doesn't look too pretty, but one is so blinded by the sun boucing off the white mulch no one can look for long anyway, lol!

Do conifer collectors still come on this site?
Q

Maackia I really wish that there were a platform that approximated it. There is not just Planet Conifer, but quite a few other wonderful groups, such as a group called Plant Idents that has botanists and scholars from all over the world and you can get almost anything identified in a nanosecond. The other thing that I personally like is that no one uses aliases, and the admins of these groups are vigilant about not allowing any bad behavior. If you do decide to use it, set your privacy as tight as possible and divulge as little personal information as you can. Do not use your actual birthdate, for example. You only need two pieces of info for identify theft and DOB is one of them. I really hate what they have done re: privacy and data sharing though, which is why if a good alternative opened up it would make me very happy.

Done deal Adam, but how are we going to trade? BTW I think a bowl made by you would be worth more than one jar, and be aware that the relish I make is spicy but also sweet.

They are on the way Peter, the green tomato pickles are really good too, I made a batch last year. I up the amounts of curry and mustard in the relish recipe just a tad, because I like the taste.
The tommys I use for the green tomato pickles last year were a hybrid with thick skin, but were perfect me thinks for the pickles.
