Fresh from the Garden this Morning.

There are so many plants flowering at present it does not take long to fill a vase.

Only problem is to have a good assortment I have to put in ones with short stems.

So they sit better in this block of Oasis popped into a take-away food container.

Thursdays Flowers:

At long last I think the perfect bloom for me, that has not been chewed by insects.

Julia's Rose:

This is one of my favourites always flowering got powdery mildew at present, organic spray did not work.

Seduction:

The First flower of this Frangipani opened today.

I wonder what flower will open tomorrow I hope it is the Pink or White/Yellow Frangipani I look

Pics look really good.
I have thought of plumbago for the garden as a biggish bush for cover and colour.
What do you think?

Michelle I think it is a good idea one thing about Plumbago you can have it as small or as big as you want it.
I hardly every water mine and it flowers on and off at different times of the year I have another four small clumps.
Then I have another clump that is about 3 mts wide and I let it get to around 2 mts in height.
Then Hubby says "Do you want me to prune it, I eagerly say YES as I usually come in covered
in the dead seed pods, he does a wonderful job but he is starting to make them too round
And I am not a formal type of garden person I prefer the Plumbago spraying all over the place...MM.

Beautiful bouquets, Xuan! I've spent all morning trying to figure out how to make the publishing project I'm working on print out the way it looks in the "print preview"... I'm working with a newer version of my publishing program, on my new computer, which has no clip art downloaded into it, and I'm not familiar with any of this yet! It's making me nuts! Fernz Welcome, and Kylie is right, some are slower to emerge. And the temp of the soil has alot to do with when they come up. Aren't you getting the cold coming in tonight? I have yet to pull back my mulch, so mine are probably just sitting there, waiting for some warmth. I'm not in that big a hurry. I have lots of brugs in pots that are setting buds, including the green-eyed orange. Hope it does well this year! Bonnie, yep, we are getting it, close to or right at freezing for three nights, Monday nite being the worst. I'll be spending the afternoon bringing all my potted plants into the garage. Mark and I sold some brugs at the Hall County Master Gardener Plant Expo on Friday and Saturday. April/dirt_under_my_nails stopped by on Friday but we were so covered up (busy), she just got a chance to say hi!! Look forward to us three having lunch together soon! We did real good at the Expo and had a great time. Lots more folks in our area have some nice brugs to enjoy this summer. Brenda

A beautiful display of flowers and the roses are gorgeous.

Plumbago is a very pretty bush but we are getting rid of ours as it is sending up suckers over a metre away from the plant and smothering other plants. As it is on a rough bank it is very hard to keep it under control and even harder to dig out. We have been spraying it with glyphosate for nearly a year but are still having plants coming up. If I plant it again it would be in an easier to access spot.

Hi and Thanks everyone.
GH I dont have any trouble with the plumbago suckers probably due to the bad soil, that plant up top has taken four years to get to that size around 1.2mts wide X 90cms H.The big clump if I see it suckering I just go around the edge and pull them out, that keep them in check for at least one year.

Jan the Julia's rose is prone to every insect here and disease , also much too tall for a Standard it would have to be a metre or more higher than the graft and still reaching for the sky and I chop it down short after each flowering.
