Some of my trees got zapped, my Willow oak and Compton's oaks seemed to be affected the worst. They were downslope from the other oaks, though. My Durand oak was okay, although on low ground. My tender veggies got annihilated, but are easy to replace.

If you follow the DH canes down to the base and below ground to where they attach to the roots then rip them off they should not come back. Don't just cut them You want to damage the cells so they won't grow back. That should take care of him and the graft will send up new growth then. If there are still some canes with the original blooms there is hope for the plant. The sooner you take care of it the better though.

Just a question, I don't know that much about the Aloe, but when it is red like this it isn't sunburned? I ask because mine turned this color and I thought that I had damaged it so I moved it to a spot that did not receive as much sun.
