After a long, very hot summer, we are getting cool, too fast. There has been enough rain to keep everything nice and green, instead of brown, like other hot summers. We should have temps of about 12-15�C. but hardly reach 10 and the last 2 nights are 6�C. The maple trees are turning red. So it is also a nice time of year.
Hope to see some more of your native blooms.

Yes it would be getting cool where you are, yesterday we had our warmest day since last Autumn 29ðC so its starting to warm up at lone last mind you I have enjoyed the cooler wetter Spring it give our plants a change to produce better flowers.

Lucky you seeing those beautiful maples turning colour that's something I never see here in the Sub-tropics.

yes Misty , great photos with terrific colours. The Bottlebrushes are interesting and the variety of colours these days don't ring a bell in my distant memory but maybe they have always been around.
Although there are not so many return posts ,I suspect there are lots of people who look at and admire the offerings on this website.My bulbs were very disappointing and I have turfed them all out and will try new stock next year.

Hi Chas yes I can understand with the Callistemons names not ringing a bell plenty of them up this way.
Perhaps they are more suited to the warmer climates and would not survive down south.

Hi there Tricia yes we have been back for a few weeks and we were amazed at the work we have had to do since we got back.

Yes we got AU$2.30 for every Pound so for once we scored though their petrol is so expensive double the price of ours.
Unleaded was ã1.17 per litre and diesel was ã1.19 per litre we had a diesel car as you get better mileage.

I have a few roses out and will put pics on the roses forum mind you this beautiful rain is ruining them but I don't mind.

Thanks Maryann, yes we are missing Ozzie terribly but the new puppy is a delight but she chews everything in the garden except the thorny roses, has tried them too but they bit her back! What a terrific price for petrol in UK. They all seem to be travelling around the world a lot now though, never would have done that when we lived there.

Yes people do travel a lot more the air fares are so much cheaper these days.
