Flower Garden Nursery, Sandwich Road, Falmouth has 3 inch lavender @ $1, some great "cutting garden" temperennials $ $2, and Night Phlox, free. I took 3 of the night phlox, but bought lots of the cutting garden plants. I'm hoping they will bloom right through until frost. Pondscapes, Rt 28A, Cataumet, 30% off all plant material. They've got some fabulous shrubs and trees (please keep your hands off the liquidamar rotundiloba, I'm planning to get over there later this week to pick them up!). Hydrangea, 2 for the price of 1 - I hope that's correct. Cataumet Garden Center, also on Rt 28A, buy 4 get 1 free on perennials and ground covers - I didn't check the shrubs there.

Lars- There were many wine-tasting places of course with the many vineyards in the area but, wine puts me out like a light. We went to "The Solvang Restaurant" which is quite popular and has been shown on a number of tv shows especially for their Æbleskiver but honestly, it was nothing to "write home about." Other restaurants I tried "Bit of Denmark," and the "Viking Brewing Company," were outstanding. They make a killer hot pastrami on rye with red cabbage. A decent pastrami is practically impossible to find in the southern part of California, so I was more than pleased. The succulent café made a decent cup of coffee : ) I admit I only stopped in because of the name <g> Have you been to "The Succulent Café" in Oceanside? I've heard that's a hundred times better! Pismo Beach? I don't get what the big attraction is over there. Every time I pass by coming from the north or the south I run into a traffic jam. I agree with you on Vista/north SD and Rainbow Gardens would be an awesome place. La Jolla! I miss the old La Jolla. It's still a beautiful town but, I did notice quite a number of homeless people on some of the main avenues such as La Jolla Shores Drive. I wish there was an easy solution to help them and at the same time maintain the integrity of our neighborhoods.

Hi, All! I live in a suburban area of Portland, OR with my husband and two small kiddos whom I homeschool. When I was in fourth grade my favorite tv show was This Old House (With Bob Villa!) and I was always drawing floor plans. My dad worked construction and didn't think very highly of architects or designer types, so my parents encouraged my university studies in a different direction. Fortunately--twenty years later--I found myself totally redesigning our little fixer upper and loving ever minute if it. Our house project has made me realize my love of floor plans is in fact my passion. Even better is that I found my way to GW where fellow floor plan lovers and floor plan needers (?) gather :-) I love this forum!
