Actually, Praying Hands and Thunderbolt were tied at 39th. If I'm reading correctly, the ties are arranged in alphabetical order. But this still raises the question, how many people participated in the poll? What we have here, as in so many lists, is a popularity contest. These are the choices of the particular group polled. I find lists like this useful, but I always keep in mind that what we have is simply a matter of opinion. Thanks, Papou, for sharing this with us.

Birchwood Parky's Gold is stunning as a mature plant- It is rather plain jane compared to some- but it mounds so nicely and is so full- standing tall and proud on it's tall stalks- and the thin heart shaped well rounded leaves will flutter a bit in the breeze from top to bottom of the mound- It will mature quickly- and is a tough cookie, not needing to be coddled. Gold Regal has more substance to it's larger leaves and can stand neglect- in the sun even! It is a slower grower- but it can stand being bumped around a bit- It even will look a bit "blue" as it seems to show a bit of a waxy look to it's leaves at times. I am waiting to see what Jimmy Crack Corn will do- but I am liking very much what I see so far... Dragon Tails is new to me this year- so I can not say much about it- other that it looks good in the pictures! Blue Angel is holding it's own, out in the woods, holding back the buckthorn without any help from me... It is 2 and starting to look very nice!! It is a strong grower- HHmmm- still thinking of only a few? Julie
