It is easier just to look up to your name than reading thru old posts :) If you are not sure about watering, a bamboo skewer or chopstick may help: insert deep into the pot trying to avoid the roots. Pull it out after few minutes. If it come out dry, time to water. If it comes out damp/cold feeling and it may have some small particles sticking to it, the potting mix is still wet and wait. Wrinkly leaves are usually from overwatering. Thirsty plant could have wrinkly leaves too - so it may be more difficult to know what the problem is. If your plant is in very peaty soil and the peat dried up at some point, it could have become hydrophobic. When that happens, water is repelled, it will 'slide' around it and run out making you think that you watered enough. Yet, the roots are not getting any moisture. They have also difficult time to breathe properly, since the hydrophobic peat could be as hard as a brick. So repotting into well draining mix that retains some water but drains excess out should be first aid :) Any mix will dry up faster in warm or hot temps, so that is another reason why exact schedule for watering is not as precise - unless everything is controlled as they usually can in greenhouses. So checking wits wooden stick will help. Eventually, you'll be able to tell by heft of the pot: dry is much lighter than moist. In hot months, you may need to water every 3-5 days. As it gets colder, less often. Some succulents should be left completely without water for months during certain times of the year. Plants you have now are quite easy to take care of, excellent for someone just starting out.

Hi Shelby. They look lovely :-) I'm mostly guessing here, but I'm sure others will pipe up. The first one looks a bit like a taller version of my Gasteria 'little warty', so maybe a Gasteria? If not, maybe an Aloe? Your 2nd plant is a Crassula, not sure which one. Guess... perforata? 3rd plant an Echeveria? 4th, another Gasteria, maybe It will be interesting to see if I get any correct lol. Just practicing my identifying skills, or lack of lol. Good luck

Not sure what is, but maybe Graptopetalum paraguayense;). 4. Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi 5. I have a hard time finding the true species of these Kalanchoe, so I just call the Mother of Millions. 6. You're going to have to wait till this guy gets bigger, but I'll give you another name to add to the list Echeveria 'Doris Taylor';). 7. Wait till blooms because when it comes to these Asclepiads it's pretty much impossible to get a true id until it flowers;). 8. Echeveria Not sure about 9 and 10. The one on the left in #9 is maybe the same as #3 or maybe a Graptosedum;).

Mike, well thank you. Looks like there's some sort of consensus. I just realized that it's mainly the plants with farina powdery stuff on the leaves) that are affected this way. It just slides off the waxy-leaved ones. I also generally, but not always, like the color of many of them indoors. A couple of examples with indoors first: Graptopetalum pentandrum superbum My sloppy watering didn't help. Outer leaves get dingy in sun. Echeveria
