Hello! Yes, I have noticed this very thing on one of my plants in particular. During the Winter, the bracts are pure yellow, but during the Summer there is a pinkish tinge to the outside of the bract with yellow in the center. Josh

I have more than 2 in my great room, all very pale shades: two colors are on structural elements of the soffit and the stucco of the fireplace - they make intersecting planes of color. Three more colors are on the walls, with the changes happening at the corners. It's very subtle color planes.

I posted these pics for "Igloo" on another message, but I wanted to show the colors of our island and cabinets to those who have been so helpful to me (& anyone else who is interested). The darker gray is for the island and the lighter one is for the rest of the kitchen cabs. So, we are getting close to deciding on using "Black Mosaic" for the island and looking for a good compliment for the rest of the kitchen countertops. Because of you all, I have the confidence now to mix different countertops, but just need to find the one for the perimeter cabs. Any help is, as always, appreciated. P.S. This is the first time I have posted pics, so I am not sure how to get them smaller, sorry.

I planted blue lake bush beans in two raised beds, and they're doing very well, but in one raised bed all the blossoms have been purple and in the other bed the blossoms are all white. They were all from the same seed packet, so I'm wondering if this is a sign that one of my beds is deficient in some nutrient? I'm in my 2nd year of raised bed gardening (the purple blossom batch is in a bed that was new this spring, the white blossoms in a bed made last season), so I'm in the very early stages of what I hope is a long term learning process, and these boards have been a wealth of information.
