Kylie, I love staying down there. The afternoons always seem to be nice and sunny. I try to work in the yard 2 to 3 hours a day, I always find something to do. I can't wait until the spring so I can plant new plants outside. PA is moving to AP in June, so I will finally be able to get with him. Right now, when he calls he is about to leave Rockport, and I am just driving down, we always seem to miss each other. I can't wait to see his new home. Once they are tall enough I would mulch them in the ground if its really hot. It helps conserve moisture but the snails like mulch so keep it away from the trunk to help keep them from snacking on the leaves. I have one plant trying to emerge that they eat every leaf as it pops out. Gonna have to stand out there with a flashlight and end his fun I guess. Underplanting will work too as long its not something that will take all the water and fertilizer from the brug. Most have a good smell but a few can have a bug spray scent or very faint smell and some are overpowering. Just depends on the plant.

PK, welcome, you'll never find a better group of enablers...... and friends!! This time of year is touchy for shipping brugs (freezing weather)- we have several members from California who may be able to offer you a cutting of one of the brug varieties you would like. If you can wait for Spring, there could be more members offering you cuttings then. I would but I don't have any of the three you mentioned. California should be a perfect place to grow brugs- I've given my sister there quite a few cuttings, and they are thriving for her. Brenda
