I don't know of anyone that is raising epiphytic rhododendrons out of their native habitat as epiphytes. They are epiphytes at very high elevations in the himalayan mountains. I had a look for lobivia, and it's starting to look more like a lobivia ferox, I'm not sure if I'd call it a perfect match, but it's certainly along the right lines, I just wish I could definitively define it. Either way it's in the propagation tank now ( http://www.illhostit.net/files/480/propagation.jpg ), it's just potting compost as I don't require good drainage right now, and no watering, the condensation alone should encourage it a little, and in a few weeks make use of the water mister I bought. I've had success with this method before with an oreocereus celsianus, but I haven't done it enough to consider it my fool proof de facto way of rooting, only time will tell.

Blushing Bride (rebloomer) or sweet summer would be the best choices, the height is set at 10 years they will get a little larger. posted some videos of a few of these plants a little while ago under "mystical flame hydrangea". Most hydrangea are not bud hardy in zone 5 so a rebloomer would be best paniculata for late season flowers. Marcelo, I just planted a fare few seed of M. lenticellata, beautiful tree and worthy of greater planting. Try Yuruga Nursery on the web they maybe able to help, otherwise email me and Ill forward you concern to a friend of mine. I know of a tree that recently fruited all over the place, but that was three weeks ago and the seed is prob old now, but see how you go. Kris
