Ronald: Yes, I have two seedling abiu trees. One has fruited one time, but I never got to tatse the fruit as we went away on vacation just before they were ready to be picked and they were gone when we returned. Here are some pictures I posted previously in another thread on this forum. Unforunately this bloom pictured, was only on one of the trees, and no fruit set. Actually, this particular tree has bloomed several times over the past few years (and multiple times per year) and has never set a fruit. I may have to take the chain saw out and let it rest by the trunk of the tree for a few days to see if that gets any rise out of the darn thing. There is a wide range of quality of fruit on Abiu, just like in Star Apple. How did your's compare?

Yes, the native citrus. Citrus Jamberi or rough lemon. But as I have been informed on the Oz Gardening forum, it is not native at all and originates from NE India! I laughed at your comment about comfort foods. I can't think of any things you can't do here if you have the money or the connections.

Yes please. Our lemon tree has decided to cark it since the rain, co-incidence or not. Haven't any budhas hand, ssae sounds good. I'm sure a bare rooted bush lemon can survive 2 days with Australia Post :) Messages through GW 'should' work; I'll test it on myself. TIA Rose

Definitely NOT native to this area! We have mild winters, so you classify our gardening as zone 8, 9 or even 10, but our summers are nearer to your Zone 5. Some places over here have had overnight frosts in the last week. If you're talking about a variety of Citrus limon, they do grow it in Australia - see the link below. It would surely be easier for you to find a fresh fruit and collect the seeds yourself? Here is a link that might be useful: Bush Lemon
