Just a guess on the top one, Mirabilis jalapa, it's common name "Four O'clock" a slightly perfumed plant with flowers opening late afternoon - a variety of colours from pure whites and reds and pinks to a mixture. Very drought-hardy. If you see largish black seeds forming where the flowers were, that's probably it. It forms a big underground root like a dahlia.

the second I think is Alyssum, "Sweet Alice" of which there are a few colours, an annual but self-seeds readily. IF I am correct it would not be worth your while transplanting it as it is, shake the seed heads all over where you would like to re-produce it and give it a severe cut-back and re-plant - sometimes they will carry on for a 2nd year of growth.
