Thanks to all of you who gave me positive comments on Born to Run, but 1 out of 16 blooms so far isn't really very good. It has set several seed pods. Maybe I'll have better luck with its kids. Rita, Jean and Linda - Love On A Wire is nicer than I remembered from last year. Today's bloom was the ffo, and I really liked the color and the form. Julia - Westbourne Little Lamb's eye is a true red, although the veining may look wine colored. It's so well budded and well-branched this year compared to last. But the scapes are still shorter than registered. It's such a cheerful flower. Casey - I'll take every good bloom I can get from Born To Run. It may be one of those daylilies that only looks good grown in a greenhouse. That's where I first saw it growing, and the blooms were flawless. Celeste - I hope Born To Run will do great for you. I've seen lots of photos of it looking pretty. Chris - I have no idea how American Doll would do as far north as you are. It had a slow start in my garden. But here in it's third year, its really clumped up and the scapes are tall and well-budded. Avedon, Cindy and Celeste - Tyrolean Treasure is a very nice bitone and a strong grower. It's one flaw is a propensity for scape blast. Nancy - Francis of Assisi is not as tall as it should be where I have it growing, but so far no flowers are actually down in the foliage. The blooms are floating right on top. I'm sorry to hear you've had trouble with Born to Run, too. Debra
