Clitoria (single)

This is the single flower version, Inga. Clitoria ternatea or 'Blue pea' Tis a vigorous vine, in fact a weed in the tropic reagions. I pull up seedlings that come up every spring but always try to leave just one or two. Oddly enough, the hard black seeds encased in a 'pea' shaped envelope sometimes reguire soaking overnight to soften the hard black shell, and yet, as the seed pod breaks down over winter in the soil up they come as soon the soil warms in, well, early summer here.

Thank you for posting these interesting blooms.
It almost seems that there are about 2-3 people using this, almost dead, forum, pity, it used to be very lively.

BTW
The flower is so bright, that your hand becomes invisible.

Thus the reason i am looking for a USA grower/seller. I took a BIG chance on the Mauve/Lavender ones, from a USA seller, at $14 for 4 seeds! Yet they dont have them for sale in India/Thailand. But they are blooming true. I don't know why they are SO expensive, but I now have them, and i have the seeds to sell to:) So...once I have enough of them to keep for myself, I am going to sell the Mauve seeds for much less than what the only 2 sellers in the USA are selling them for. But I was hoping to find a US grower of the double white one, to trade some Mauve ones, for the double white. At least they would be in the US, and if they try to send me blue ones, I can post in here who tricked me, or if I buy from them,and use PayPal, I have 6 months to get a refund. It looks like I am going to have to try India, to get them, and use PayPal, so I can get my refund IF they dont bloom double. It is just going to take SO long to get them, and then grow them out to see iF the are true doubles.

Yeah, strange isn't it; there use to be a number of contibutors, maybe it's because, as I experienced, it just wouldn't load and on the rare occasion that it did it took soooo long. Seems they were renovating the site. I notice now it loads quite quickly and I don't have to go through 'Photobucket' to load pics, all I do is click on the browse button and load straight from my folders. Maybe if you contribute to any other sites Inga, and Chas, you could spread the word that this one is up and running again. I use to visit one or two others but I've lost track of them, then had a hard-drive crash and lost them altogether.
