Clitoria ternatea (double)

This is clitoria ternatea double form or, as folks would prefer, the 'blue pea' in double form. The single form is, well, not common in areas south of the tropics - it can be a bit weedie further north, mind you, and a bit weedie here too. Both forms are, nevertheless, quite beautiful and striking; the intense blue stands out against a lattice background - it is a reasonably vigorous climber, and really, you need to remove the seed pods after flowering otherwise up come the seedlings every spring.
