Hi Bobbi, I save some seeds of this annual vine every year and they do resemble tiny dark brown lentils, flattish, with a slight indentation on one side like a bean. They usually come up on their own once the ground gets really warm so saving seeds is just insurance. Even when started late, they've bloomed by August - last year they were still blooming in November along with the tropical milkweed and Mexican Mint Marigold. It sure seems worth a try!
