When I lived further south, I tried a few of the Lamiums and then one day I was browsing a garden book and spotted this one, L. galeobdolen 'Herman's Pride', and thought wow!! I searched the nuseries and some years later I spotted it whilst browsing among the wares of a crafters' markets at Pyrmont in Sydney. I bought 2, planted one east and the other west of the house. The west - subject to afternoon sun - failed; the east one struggled. I potted in up when we moved and planted it in a shady-cum-filtered sun position and with ample water, some TLC, and a pat now and then, it revealed why Herman loved it (who ever Herman was).
