multiflora first....dr huey 2nd......ummmmm.....maybe a few others floating around...several strains of multiflora......why?

I have some Dr. Huey, grown up from some old ground cover rose. It looks nice and thick, and healthy, and i thought I might try budding onto it. The worst I can do is stuff it up completely - LOL.
I also have something that gives little white flowers - would that be Multiflora? It was also supposed to be a ground cover, but definitely rootstock, with long arching branches.
Your the Expert Brenton - where do i go from here? Do I cut lengths and pot them up until they get roots? are their any roses that are easier to bud than others? where do i buy budding tape? Lots more questions, I just haven't thought of them yet :-)

ok....if your dr huey is nice and healthy now......you can practice your budding now......leave the stock where it is in the ground....bud about every 10cm or so from the bottom up and then leave them(i assume you know how to bud?)then in may or so when the stock goes dormant...cut up the stock above each eye...de-eye each piece and then plant out...it's just doing things the other way around.....the stock growing now hosts the buds.....once they have taken and then dormant the stock is planted out with the eye already in place...hope that helps
