if that cyclone (it's currently heading sth/west at a great rate of knots) over there in the north/west indian ocean came our way maybe just maybe, there is a cloud system in the north west of wa but latley i've seen them come and seen them slide all the way down into nsw. for me i won't be holding me breath, for your floods or much rain of any sort. there's a low in the gulf but it won't form into a cyclone it doesn't have the monsoonal trough with it. also a trough attached to a cold front down south moving across this end of the state but of late we don't even get the odd storm behind the troughs anymore must have upset the gods somehow or other.

so far since december we are around 590mm down in rainfall comapred to the previous same season, that's a lot of missing water.

Hello again Paul, How is that little boy of yours, must be helping in the garden by now.
Just a good bit of rain would be wonderful here, stop at the floods though, it is a bit too cool at night at the moment to get much rain though.

Fingers crossed. We've had our driest quarter (I think they called it) in 100 years!

If I don't get meaningful rain within the next few weeks I will see the bottom of a large dam before winter is over.

Ah well, if the gardens die I'll cement it and paint everything green.

Only 20mm in my back yard, and true what they said only showers.
So no floods here 35kms south of Brisbane not much of anything but very windy.

yep considering you don't get paid you do better on average from observation that bom do with their space invader games (i don't do too bad for my neck of the woods if i say so myself grinning broadly). we've had 10mm over the last week very useful but does nothing for filling dams or tanks. the water trucks are again being run off their feet up this way with 100 year record dry. gympie just posted its driest feb/march for 100 years. we are lucky with a realy good but smallish dam that never runs dry and a couple small water holes along the creek the same.

yes doug i was looking at not doing much planting for this winter but enough rain to encourage a little more planting love me caullies and drum head cabbages just they take so long and need so much water.

len hoping beyond all hope for a realy realy late cyclone (i won't be holding my breathe but chuckle).
