when did yours start blooming? do they have the separate male and female flowers. mine just started blooming

We have been getting rain about 3 days a week for the last month and the framers finally got the roof sheathing finished today. The roofers started stocking materials today and will start on the roof in the morning..plumber starting rough in tomorrow, HVAC rough in on Wednesday, and electrical on Thursday...these crews have worked together many times and will work together on who has the "right of way". A window goes in the big gables and vents go in the smaller ones, The framers still have some OSB to put on and some wrap then it is on to the windows...going with James Hardie siding on the majority of the house and James Hardie shake shingles on the larger gables and stone around the front door and windows. Everything sounds good on paper but things never go as easy as planned. Going to be 85 the next 3 days and then a high of 45 and rain for the 3 days after :(

I have those identical outdoor lights by the doors, lol. I like them alot, though it's so weird to see a light with no bulb-like bulb. I put my house numbers underneath them, and the light didn't look as small. I'm looking at the plan..... Are you on the verge of the "aging in place" years? Your bathroom is too small if you are IMO. It's 5x8 or so? The shower is roll-in? IMO make the LR a foot smaller, and make the bathroom a foot wider. Has this building design been appraised for financing? IME this design (when I tried it) was hard to get appraised at or above the cost of construction. And now lumber prices have gone through the roof. Do you have a utility room somewhere in the plan? Like for a WD, air exchanger, hot water supply, electric box, solar hookup, electric backup batteries, etc.? I'd have done Tesla batteries in a heartbeat (my state has a HUGE incentive), but I simply don't have the wall space! I did have them increase capacity to the electric box and run an empty conduit in case I ever want to charge an electric car. I guess my thought about all this is to plan now for alternative energy, sustainability, etc., because power in houses is heading into alternativity FAST! Retro-fitting will be expensive.

So out of curiousity, Jsk ... have you taken the same, more or less vacation since your company switched to no limits? I've actually taken more this year (1st year with new policy). A lot more. And I had 6 weeks before the new policy! The new policy came at the perfect time for me. My son graduated college in June. With that big bill done, we can finally start taking real vacations. And taking real vacations we are! I always used all my vacation because like you, it was use it or lose it, but other than Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks, it was usually one or two days at a time because due to other financial obligations we didn't travel much. Now it's more like 2 weeks at a time. I keep track in my own spreadsheet of my days off and I took a look at the number recently and I was kinda shocked. Well, they did say unlimited! I will have been with this company 40 years next month. While my co-workers and my boss joke about how much time I've been taking, they also tell me I deserve it. And then when I get back beg me not to go away again! ETA: re: that HERE it's the companies that are the worst to work for who are offering it as a benefit. I work for an enormous multi-national company. While there are definitely cons (bureaucracy) to that, the benefits of this company are really excellent. I started working out of college for a very small (I was the 4th person hired) company. We've been bought over and over and now part of this gigantic corporation, so I've seen it all!
