I am hoping for some help as well. I have been trying for some time to upload photos to the forum but without any success.I even tried following the instructions!

Try photobucket, I found their instructions very easy to follow. Photobucket will create the HTML which you copy and paste into "Optional Link URL:" In the "Name of the Link" space you type in whatever you want.

The optional link URL line is to put the web address of the photo you are showing. Then the name of the link if you want to give it a specific name. If you are using the Photobucket use the line labelled url. If you want to actually insert the photo into the post as some do, use the line labelled as Tag. Just copy and past the lines of text.

Judy - I have asked others before how they do this and never worked it out - you say "actually insert the photo into the post as some do, use the line labelled as Tag" but I do not have a line labelled as "tag" - there is only "optional link URL" and "name of link" and "preview message" and then from Preview, "submit message".

Great test - where is the tag as per my previous message? How do you so it? What is the line on "post a follow up" that you use?

In the "Post a Follow-up" section type your message as usual then if you want to put in a link to another site:

Step 1. Keep the Gardenweb window opened then in a new window (File, New, Window) open the site you want to post the link to, for example "Wildflower Society of Western Australia"

Step 2. In the new "Wildflower Society" window copy the URL that appears in the address bar, for example: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~wildflowers/

Step 3. Go back to the Gardenweb window and paste the URL into the Gardenweb window in the "Optional Link URL" space, then type into "Name of Link" whatever the link is about, for example "Western Australian Wildflowers"

Click on "Preview Message" then if all looks ok click on "Submit Message". This will put the link to the Western Australian Wildflower Society in the "here is link that might interest you" section of your message as I have done at the end of this message.

If you want to insert your photo so it will show up in this forum you must first have the photo stored on a site such as Photobucket - http://photobucket.com - then you will have under your photos in Photobucket the options URL, tag and img. To insert a photo into your message you copy the html shown under the Photobucket option named "tag" and paste it into your message as I have done here on the line after I typed "Plovers Nest". The "tag" html creates a search for my photo called "ploversnest.jpg" in the photo albums I have stored at Photobucket and displays the photo here:

If you have pasted the "tag" correctly your photo will show up in your message after you click on "Preview Message", if all is ok then click on "Submit Message"

To post your photo into the Oz Garden Gallery just follow the "Special Notes for Uploading Images" instructions shown at the bottom of the "The Oz Garden Gallery" page. The Gallery actually uploads your photo from your own computer so you do not have to have your photos stored on Photobucket to put a photo onto the Gallery.
