Any one having trouble opening pages on the Forums

I hope it is not my computer, but I cannot seem to get on to any forum without waiting for about 3-4 minutes. Is anyone else out there having problems with the Garden Web Site at around 12 noon EST on Tuesday...I am not having any trouble getting on to any other site on the WWW just this one..I would love to know....Cheers...MM.

Well Thank goodness it is now Ok at one and a quarter hours later...MM.

I couldn't open anyone's member page for a while. Perhaps they were doing maintenance. Who knows.

Actually, for several days, the search engine will time out, quickly! Today, more specifically, I can't open some of the threads! I'm having this on my laptop and our 'big one'! Yesterday, the problem was on any of the forums offered by GW! Haven't tried today anywhere but this one!! Is it just me?

I have tried to post back again here several times and could not... I did email Ivillage...don't know if they did anything or not...but it is finally working... It's bad enough being stuck home without a car...but to be cut off from my cyber life is terrible...lol patti

Houzz Slow Loading Forums and Pages?

Thx again Richard, a few hours ago I followed your most recent advice and deleted all cookies on the list which were under both "Gardenweb" and "Houzz". All toll it was about 15 cookies listed for both. I shutdown the pc for a while and just returned to find the speed a tiny bit better (10secs v 15) so it helped a bit. Still odd that it's just this site that is slow, no others. I may need to re-register under a new name and see if that works, had the same handle here since the Spike days back in 1998 so reluctant to do that.

I think they were doing something on Tues, because I once again tried to change my members page about 11.30am and it wouldn't change.

I tried again, the same proceedure about 2.00pm and hooray I am finally updated.

Thanks to everyone for their advice on this and other forums.
