Congratulations to the proud parents Myrle. Is this your first grandchild? It's been quite a few years since I was a new grandma. My only grandchildren ( I have 2) are now 26 and 23 and both unmarried but they do have boy and girl friends. Our grand daughter Amanda is the oldest, is in school again and studing to be a chiropractor. Our grandson Kyle is a welder and works for my nephew's in their business. Time sure has flown for me as it seems just yesterday they were adorable babies Connie

Takadi, Worm castings are best sold locally because of the expense of shipping. You can find castings cheap all over the place. My castings are not cheap. I didn't start the thread to sell castings. I started it because I saw findings contrary to the discussions here. I started this particuliar thread, and have been subject to nothing but crass and sarcastic comments. In fact, instead of actual debates, most of the cheap shots are done sniper sytle. How many direct questions have been answered? Not many. How many of you actually deal with what you are talking about? If you consider me contrarian because I am challenging some of the comments made, some referencing things as silly as Wiki's....you bet I am contrarian. Let me ask you a few valid questions: If you read a published article, then try things for yourself that consistently show results contrary to the published article, which do you believe? When you read two published articles with conflicting results...how do you handle this? If everything having to do with worms has already been identified, and the forums are just rehashing old news, I guess the forums are pointless. It is obvious that many of the readers of the forums do not feel comfortable commenting. Sadly, this is the environment that has been created. It is definitely not a healthy environment. Want PROOF...look at the number of views vs. the number of actual comments. If you want to have a rational back and forth discussion, let's talk. You don't have to agree...no sweat, that makes for lively debate. Just don't hide behind the internet with cheap shots, and don't freak because someone doesn't automatically agree with some of the postings.

Hi there all- Yep Ann- I posted back on the 20th that I had received your envelope- thanks again for the very nice selection sent in! I received a few more envelopes today- Roflol, Clay Lady, Kliddle, and Nan6161! Whew- so many many great seeds you all have sent in! I am using a laundry basket with an alpha-accordion file for the general swap- and individual pocket manila folders for each member- and I am already running out of room with only 13 member envelopes out of 38 members (so far) sent in! That IS a lot of seeds!- OK- a lot of paper too but hey- Shilohyn - how ever many or few you send in is GREAT! The mix is wonderful too. They are sure to be appreciated by those who receive them! I hope I have been answering questions as they appear on the board here- But some of the entries are being "squished" so that I can not read them- It must be time to start a new update thread- but I think I will wait till Sunday if I can. shavedmonkey, I don't find Libby's comment anything but showing her love for orchids, sharing her personal experiences, and being helpful. I appreciate your comments as well as Libby's and clearly, there's always something to learn about our beloved plants. Three is not a crowd here! I just took pictures of my plant today. shavedmonkey, you are right about this flower taking forever to bloom! I measured both stalks and one is 11" and the other 15". It took about 3 weeks to become this tall so maybe it's close to blooming.
