help identifying plant that looks like an octopus!

Hi,

I have inherited a few plants in my garden from the previous owner including the one in the attached photo that reminds me of a green octopus with many tentacles! The plant bears small cream flowers along the stems as well as bright red berries. The plant produces juicy pale-ish tubers just above and also below the ground. These tubers are like small elongated eggs. I would appreciate anyone who could identify the plant for me and also any advice on the success I might have transplanting my sea creature into a pot - I think it would make a great feature!

Many thanks in advance!
