They're some great photos. Everything looks so nice and healthy, especially considering you haven't been doing much gardening. I've never seen Kangaroo Paws in such a nice healthy clump before - they look great - do they attract much wildlife?

Margaret I am sorry sorry to hear that you are waiting for a knee operation. I do hope its not too long.
Nothing worse than being house bound, especially when you want to get out into the garden,

My kangaroo paws are really thriving this year as are most of the plants that don't need much attention.
My roses, fuchsias and verbenas are struggling this time, and my lovely hydrangeas have been hit hard by the heat.
The flowering gums, grevilleas, cestrums and pineapple sages attract birds such as honeyeaters, rosellas and wattlebirds. I never seem to have the camera handy when they are around though.
I have about another 3 months before my knee is done, I am on the "urgent" list but so are a lot of others. There is a slight chance that I will be called in if they have a cancellation. I am ready and waiting , also hoping that it will be successful. I can sympathise with any of you who might have arthritis that has caused the cartlidge to wear away completely.It is very painful.
My garden needs me so I am trying to be positive about it all.
