It's possible but it is only a twelve inch tall plant and not very dense. I could see the pepper as soon as I walked over to it to water it. I guess it could have been less than an inch but it's now a good size pepper that stands out right in front. Every plant I have outside changed overnight after the splash of nutes. I had other peppers that were good size and solid green for almost a month but after the nutes they turned half red overnight. I have been loading up on nitrogen but this was the first good application of a balanced feed.

You have to type in the title of the article in the search function to get there, but it was an interesting read. I particularly think we all need to know that many of the plants now produce sterile seeds. That is a good thing re invasive plants but a bad thing if you want to collect seeds, especially vegetable ones. Root, in that seed list I posted from NARGS, did you notice that the wild collected seeds had the site from which the seeds were gathered? I try to request seeds from areas in which the horticultural features mimic NC's Piedmont. So many plants we purchase are now grown from tissue culture. There are positive things about this action, but it also means a "sameness," perhaps no chance of random sports. T. Avent buys tissue culture starts for many things, but most of his expensive plants are grown out the "hard" way, thus his very high prices. On the other hand, tissue culture has made possible lady slipper orchids at what some may think a reasonable price...still a little too pricey for me to chance growing them...but I love seeing them in his new catalog, which just arrived at my house yesterday. Hmmm Something brought them to the site could have been birds the bottom of your shoes maybe or maybe if you got some other plant at a nursery and the seeds may have been in there. This last one sounds the most reasonable to me. If you bought some annual bedding plants and Impatiens were near by, seeds could easily gotten in there.

This program is of interest to anyone who is researching their own family. One can pick up pointers and techniques, many of which I found that my wife and I were already using. For example, my wife found that her ancestors were involved with the building of the Erie Canal; I found that I had a g-g-granfather who had served under Andrew Jackson and was later a Captain in the Black Hawk War. One of his sons was in the Mexican war, and before that, 4 brotheres were in the American Revolutionaey War with Britian.
