Hey - you should've been there! This was one of the best Gourd Shows I have been to. Lots of great classes, the new location was superb, lots of wonderful vendors and the gourd competitions were amazing! Have to brag tho that Michigan gourd artists took home over 60 ribbons! Awesome gourds! If you get a chance to get to a gourd show in your area take the time to travel and enjoy yourselves! Oh, I`ll have another pile of gourds that'll make the one in Martha's magazine look a bit on the small size. This may be my last year growing gourds for awhile. The old market ain't what it once was, and I don`t need a couple thousand a year to craft on. Might be time to move on.

I keep hoping that one of the talented photographers on this forum will go into business. I have seen many photos, especially leaf close-ups, that would look beautiful framed and on my wall. Or made into one of those photo canvases. My photography skills have never given me a picture good enough to frame. Although I guess part of that, is you have to have the beautiful hosta in your garden to photograph.
