Antiquesilver...I imagine that ISO is not changeable when in any semi automatic mode. The camera wants to do that for you so it will most likely be automatic. However you should be able to raise the EV just one notch up to +0.3, or get a stronger light bulb. Also try substituting the thin cloth with white tissue paper or tracing paper. The cloth might be cutting out too much light. I know what you mean about too strong a light blowing out the detail on the silver pieces. But keep experimenting to get the right combination of camera setting, light and diffusor. There are detailed explanations of setting up tabletop lighting with a whole chapter dealing with how to photograph metal objects. You might want to have a look in your library or bookstores. I work in a hospital as the Website Coordinator and since 90% of our user's has a resolution of 800x600 or greater, we ran into a printing problem. (i.e. the right side of page getting cut off) I believe a printer will only print 640 across. It might even be a little less, but I know 800 pixels will get cut off. Our solution? Have a "printer friendly version" button that removes the template and just diplays the text. Click here to see Newsletter Try "File/Print Preview" to see how it gets cut off. Now press the "Print Friendly button" and do a preview again. The text will automatically justify to the printers margins. (landscape or portrait) I'd forget about the printversion.doc idea. Since Word docs can have macros embedded with viruses and crap... a lot of people will not open them. You have 2 easy options though. 1. Get Adobe Acrobat. (you'll need more then the free version if you want to create PDF's) 2. Create another HTML document with just the page content and not the template. Here is a pup from what I believe is a H. retusa 'Mutica'. It was completely brown when it was on the outskirts of a grow light in my basement. I brought it upstairs and put it next to a window. It's now partly back to green. I thought the pattern was interesting. The bottom part isn't in shadow, it really is brown. (I'm referring to the leaf facing the camera.) It almost looks like one of those chocolate Haworthias or even the H. 'Violet' above. I wonder if keeping it in just the right amount of light would keep it this way. Probably impossible, plus I like this one green, but it might be interesting to try.
