Nell, Mine NBC bloomed about 2 weeks ago - one bloom, but this time I got a picture of the bloom. (Yippee!) Should I post mine? It looks more spidery than yours and there is a little honey bee nippin' nectar on it. I've got most of my tropicals moved inside my 'greenhouse'. It isn't organized yet, but I love the jungle look. My blooming yellow Brug didn't even blink. She is blooming like all get out (that's an Oklahoma saying...and we call concrete blocks "cinder blocks'...least us old farts). I had to haul all my tenders in quickly as the frost advisory was a last minute deal. That happens a lot here in Okie. It didn't get too cold here on my place. I have two more big brugs, two large Loquat trees and one big Avocado tree yet to haul in there. Oh, and one little Penta that came up from seed just last month, so I am going to rescue her, too. The coleus will just have to die. Well, I took two into the greenhouse, but I took cuttings from the others. I am sure going to hate to see them melt. I LOVE coleus! Not sure about the Gardenia. I have taken her in every year. I guess I can squeeze her in there somewhere (I need to enlarge the garden shed-greenhouse or else build a bigger one - yah, yah!). No room in there now to maneuver around as it is! The plants seems to like that jungle-y mess though. I have an electric heater and an overhead sunlamp, but no back-up kerosene heater - yet. (If Santa Claus is listening way up there in the North Pole, that sure would be something I'd be 'a hankering' to have - wink) Your N. B. Cereus is really special. Love your tree! That is so cool. Thanks for the nice comments. The center strip is green with a tiny design in it and the lighter 'leaf' fabric has some of the same color green in it (well, pretty close to the same color). Hi barbara3--didn't know there was another NLer here---so nice to 'see' you. From your profile, I'm guessing that you spend a lot of time in the gardening forum area. Do you live near St. John's? I THINK I got the lighter leaf fabric at Fashionable Fabrics in Mount Pearl. I had planned to do all the the leaf blocks with that fabric, but when I went to get more, it was sold out---isn't that always the way!! The new owner has a better store layout and has some nice fabrics. ~Geraldine

PJM and Olga both had nice foliage here, though it may be too late by now. I also enjoy the peachy colors of various deciduous azaleas, but all those dropped leaves 2-3 weeks ago.
