I let two professionals take pictures, I was told I would get an email with pictures of the hummingbirds. I never got the email. With their equipment the pictures were angelic, so I just took a few. I was told that hummingbirds return year after year. Last year I retired it was my first time being there to see. I will be there again this year. I did not even know a white hummingbird was rare. I went to Lindas house and she got all excited, she came right over, both the ladies also came from Linda's house, with their professional cameras. Linda took pictures with her phone, maybe she will post them. I am the last house on a dead end street, and the property next door is owned by the state of Texas, no ones goes there. That is the reason I have so many hummingbirds, there were all diffrent kinds, I do not think anyone will have more hummingbirds than what will be on my street. The man two houses up is 87 yrs old and has been putting out feeders for years, he puts out 21, I only put out 9, so you can imagine, how many birds are there. I went thru 5 lbs of sugar a day. I made the nector just before I went to bed, then put it out at daylight. I have hugh oak trees, and the noise they made was as loud as sea gulls, its like no other sound. I think they all nested at night in my hugh oak trees and the trees on the states property.Linda and others in Rockport have hummingbird signs in their yards, giving permission to bird watchers to come into their yards to take pictures of hummingbirds. I do not have a sign, I had to put my dogs in the house, for those ladies to take their "money shots". They stayed for hours until it got dark. They will be suprised when they try to come back this year. Barbra

Yep, that was me with the raccoon site. The mother's just started coming back around the last couple of nights, too. A couple of strangers as well, but I'd know her anywhere. They sure don't like walking in the snow if they can get around it. She was doing her darnedest to stay in the trails the squirrels made. There have been a few times I've seen them on the porch of her playhouse, and I'm sure they'd like to open the door and "visit". Never seem to be able to find the camera when they're there. I did have a picture of one of them sitting on the bench of her little picnic table, but can't seem to find it. Just stuck one up with the chipmunks. Not as many pictures of them, but they just started warming to me last fall. Not quite as easy getting them in one place, either. Nibblers and scooters I actually got some video of them with our digital camera, and that's another reason I don't have as many pictures. Can't to do both at one time, but such is life. Don't feel bad about not having green thumbs. I come from a farming family that migrated to NJ from IA in the 60's, and even though my mother kept up a good sized vegetable garden and flowers, my thumbs are teal or aqua on a good day rather than green. I do have that love of the earth, but I've yet to be terribly productive with it. My wife's the same way. She's always been more of a "stick it in the ground and see if it grows" sort. I planted some lilies in our front yard a few years ago. When they died down after bloom, I said, "Par for the course." Little did I know that they would come back, and when they did the next spring, I got all excited. "Vick, Vick, look! They're alive!"

At that point, I think you might have a problem with the kitchen seeming kind of cold, or the white seeming too stark... maybe. That is just my humble opinion tho, maybe you will think it is beautiful!

Positano, Thank you! I love the refrigerator. The only complaint I have had is there was something very sharp on the bottom of it that left a deep, thin scratch on my new wood floor as the fridge was pushed into position. Grrr! But we covered the scratch with a wax pen so it's all fine now. The icemaker seems efficient, the refrigerator layout is flexible, its temperature runs true (I keep a fridge thermometer in there) and it feels spacious. The outside finish polishes nicely. I'm very happy with it. Try_Hard
