Lots of creative ideas there for sure! Really like the chicken coop out of the old dresser.

sjarz ~ I keep both corn meal and flour in the freezer. I've done it for several years so I wouldn't get those little bugs in it. I have absolutely no problem at all with it. If I know a few hours ahead of time that I'm going to use it I take it out of the freezer then so it will be room temperature. I have no particular reason for doing that because I've used it many time right from the freezer. Linda

Thank you all very much! We thought we would go this route instead of the standard 3-hole faucets but you know how you start doubting yourself and thinking "uh oh, maybe this is a bad idea"??? ;) They just seem like they would be so much easier to keep clean too. I like the Fairfax alot but DH wants something more modern so the hunt continues. If anyone has the Delta Dryden or Arzo, I would love to see pics of them. It's so hard to tell from the websites.

My island is 9' X 5' all counter height I love it. Sorry, I do not know how to post photos. But others' photos give you the picture. I have seating on one 9' side, and the sink on the other. I have plenty of walk space all around and it is open to the family room. The TV is visible from the sink. It is the hub of my home. The disposal switch is inside the sink cabinet. Yes, the kids tend to throw everything on the island and it is the landing spot for groceries, so I have to be diligent about making sure it stays tidy. It is a gorgeous showstopper so I wouldn't change a thing.
