What do Jade Flowers Look Like?
Comments (9)The flowers are very small, no more than 3/16" in diameter. They range from white to pink and have a faint smell similar to daisies. When I get home from work I'll post some pictures if no else has. Unfortunately, they are notoriously stingy bloomers. They need lots of sun and age to really have a chance at flowers. Pulling it off in NY would be quite a a feat. Likewise, potted plants are even less likely to flower. Someone once told me that a plant needs a trunk of at least 2" or 3" in diameter to have any hope of flowering, but I have no idea how true that really is. However, the only Jade of mine that blooms is a really big cutting (3" diameter trunk) that including the age of the mother plant, is easily 50 years old. All the same, you might wait to hear from some other Crassula fans around here before you get too discouraged. In particular, Norma is far more experienced with these than I, and PirateGirl has some real experience growing them in your neck of the woods......See MorePlease, let me see your updated pictures of Jades I sent out..
Comments (13)Pug...That is so nice of you to share as you said you would with others...Even though, your plants still look very healhy..I'll bet it just might flower someday...The coloring is very nice even if no flowers..Thank you.. Josh..Wow did your cutting grow...You are right..It seems like the first year of growing from a cutting is slower than the second...They all look so nice...What a difference from when you recieved it..Thanks man! Nodakgal...I am suprised there is no color, although the plants look very healthy...If it doesn't color up come spring, I will e-mail you....Thank you for posting a pic.. Jojo...I am SHOCKED that your babies would be slow pokes...lol..One would think that givin the ebst enviroment like Arizona, they would outpace all of ours..I bet they just don't like HOT and that's it.. I can't wait to see pics of your too..Thanks.. Have a great day everyone.. Mike...See MoreDo you like your single hole faucet in bathroom? Pictures?
Comments (16)Thank you all very much! We thought we would go this route instead of the standard 3-hole faucets but you know how you start doubting yourself and thinking "uh oh, maybe this is a bad idea"??? ;) They just seem like they would be so much easier to keep clean too. I like the Fairfax alot but DH wants something more modern so the hunt continues. If anyone has the Delta Dryden or Arzo, I would love to see pics of them. It's so hard to tell from the websites....See MoreDo you like or hate your 4-foot-wide island? Can I see a picture?
Comments (46)My island is 9' X 5' all counter height I love it. Sorry, I do not know how to post photos. But others' photos give you the picture. I have seating on one 9' side, and the sink on the other. I have plenty of walk space all around and it is open to the family room. The TV is visible from the sink. It is the hub of my home. The disposal switch is inside the sink cabinet. Yes, the kids tend to throw everything on the island and it is the landing spot for groceries, so I have to be diligent about making sure it stays tidy. It is a gorgeous showstopper so I wouldn't change a thing....See Morebirdsnblooms
