Alisande...loved the post. Two years ago I sent an afghan to a friend of mine with a Happy 60th Birthday card. She thought I was losing it because it was her 80th birthday until she read the inside of the card. I had started it, ran out of yarn and never finished it. It occurred to me that I had made it bigger than it was suppose to be to begin with and if I ripped out the extra length, I would have enough yarn to finish. It took me twenty years to get around to it. I figured if I waited much longer I might be pressing my luck. Of course her color scheme has changed since twenty years ago, but she got a big laugh from it and it's the thought that counts (I think).

I don't think there is much "work" done on the island!! At least in the area that the kids visit. It is pretty 'primitive' and VERY laid back! The gal that owns the house that this was taken at winters in Tortola and has a house on Martha's Vineyard in the summer! Tough life! Leslie....if you want the full size pic of this, let me know, I have access to it!

Thank you to our international friends for working around our differences in park ownership. floral, I so enjoy watching "Escape to the Country" and seeing the beautiful parks in the UK...I've been to London and the West Country, but there's so much more to see. I hope to go back some day. My dream for my dotage would be to live in one of those castles that have been converted into separate residences on these incredible and well maintained grounds so I can enjoy the countryside and the architecture without the work and the expense.
