Oh my gosh, these are just wonderful, I love the geese in the sunset. This is the only one I could find right now, we were at a state park, the deer are very tame, it was the highlight of my weekend, could of had a 300. fine if they caught me feeding her banana!

Living in Minnesota, I never see armadillos. What a bizzare looking creature. A face only a mother could love. Thanks for sharing.

Ron- You were able to capture the notoriously shy snow duck with your camera. I can't understand why the Wily Winter
Armadillo of the Great North has managed to elude you - they should be easy to track in all that snow you get!

Wow--who knew so many of you walk on the wild side!! Great pictures, everyone. I'm so glad I don't have to groom that ram......

This one's a little blurry. But I was probably a little shaky.

What a sweet face, Konrad!! (The deer, not yours.) :-)

And those are wonderful shots of the Waxwings.

I didn't take this pic--wish I could say I've been this close to a whale. It was taken this week by a friend on a whale watching trip. Couldn't resist posting it here, considering the theme. I love it.

I'm very late to the party. :) I am so glad to be a part of this forum and get to see all these wonderful photographs. Thank you!

Here are some photos of some "not so wild"life.

pfmastin, what is that last one you posted? A bird version of Medusa?
    That grasshopper is so cool.

Thank you all for the fantastic pictures this week.

Isn't it a great character, ronf? Unfortunately, I don't know what it is. The last two bird photos were taken at the Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park in Scotland Neck, NC. I looked on the website but didn't have any luck identifying the bird with the hairdo and I didn't label it at the time.

I think the strange black feathered bird with the crest is a curassow.

I should have added that the bird identification is courtesy of MaNature, our bird/snake/critter ID expert on the Florida Gardening forum. She's our 'go to' person for these questions and she always gets it!
    Thanks Marcia!
