The ceiling above the crawlspace is the bottom of the first floor. The warm moist air in the crawl space will rise up into to house if there is no vapor barrier to stop it. I would expect a three year old house to have tight windows and doors. The crawl space might be a source of the excess moisture in the house. What size is the AC? I would think a 2.5 ton single stage, or 3 ton 2-stage AC would be sufficient for a newly constructed 1749 sq. foot single story house. Did the builder provide a load calculation? A 6-10 minute run time might be considered short cycling. How often does this happen in an hour and what is the outside temperature?

Regardless of failed units, windows within the shower surround is always a bad idea. The sashes, frame design/extrusions, and hardware are not designed to shed water hitting it from the inside. So with your slider you have pooling water in the track which can find it's way down into the wall. Also, many people do not understand that even opaque glass still allows a shadow show, the closer you are to the glass the crisper that shadow is, if that is a concern for you. An alternative to retain natural light in a shower is a transom above the surround height. The window does not have to be operable if there is an exhaust fan.

Just wanted to give an update. I really appreciate everyone's input and recommendations/suggestions so thank you to all the contributors! You guys rock! I did not want to repair the old Bosch vented dryer simply because it was 18/19 years old. I momentarily considered but the cost of a repair just didn't seem worthwhile to extend the dryer's life by a few more years. Originally, the plan was replacing with a new vented (ie Samsung) dryer because I heard (co-workers) and read horror stories of people getting a condenser dryer and being really unhappy with the performance (ie clothes not fully dry after running 2-3 hours) plus the fact I was already set-up to vent. When I was told the Samsung dryer would not work, I did some deep dives, including posting on this thread, about alternatives. I then ruled out the ventless condensers (personal choice, no judgement here). I was open to heat pump dryers, becoming really interested in the Miele. I chose Miele because: 1. Interest 2. Too long wait time for Bosch 500 heat pump dryer. It would have taken another 3 weeks to get the dryer (big box store), and I simply felt very unmotivated to make another trip plus 1 to the laundromat. My original Bosch vented dryer died in mid February 3. Cost - the dent n scratch Miele was actually a few hundred dollars less than a new Bosch heat pump dryer. After getting the plug adapter (Bosch washer 220 plug to 240v wall outlet that @jwvideo mentioned), delivery and hauling I was still able to save I don't believe the Miele dryer would have worked if I did not have the second electrical output (110v). But thankfully I did and it is up and running......

If the water cleared the clog and the refrigerant didn't then it won't have harmed the drain. Not good practice, though!
