Success! Having taken your recommendations to use a simple piece of pipe, I found two "candidates" at our local Orchard Supply Hardware store this afternoon: One was a narrow stainless steel tube that just fit over the 1/8" cage leg; the other (found in the Plumbing section) was labeled 1/4" I.D. galvanized threaded pipe: I used the narrower stainless steel piece, countered with a good pair of vise-grips to make the first 90 degree outward bend: Worked like a charm! Very little force needed to make the sharp bend. Next, made the 2 inward bends: Finished bends: All in, it took less than 15 minutes to make the 36 bends: The lower section simply clipped on to the container rim without any bending or forcing required: Now tomorrow, attaching the upper cage section with 4 wire rope clips. Needless to say, this new process is much easier that trying to hold the cage up in the air and insert into my bench vise, and the bends are within 1//8" of where I want them. -TJ, that gold mugo (I presume?) is gorgeous. Is that one that only gets that color in winter? I have to say I am kind of with Natalie, less is sometimes more. But that is just because I can't stand too much clutter in general. I might be just a wee bit of a 'garden art snob' too. That's not to say I don't like the rustic decor and collections in other peoples yards (because I do), but it just doesn't reflect my own personal style/taste much. I tend to go for art that sort of looks as if it had some sort of past or interesting story. Things that might have come from some other country or great estate (like I said, 'snob', LOL ;-) I got two of these terra cotta "Artichokes" a couple years ago and love em'! I also have a collection of terra cotta pots that I think is rather decorative. They are bears to lug inside for winter though, so I don't think I will be buying any more! A lantern that I love. Here is an armillary stake- currently residing in the middle of my 'Bean Bed'. The hummingbirds like to perch on it, which is pretty adorable! On the shed there is a sort of scroll-y metal wall art piece. Another plaque with scroll-y metal, blue tiles, and a carved wood center (that I painted) is on the house. I've got a couple homemade items as well. Here is a "Living" Wreath I made out of an old hanging basket, wire, chicken wire, moss, and twigs. I'm not sure I can say it is living though, since most everything I planted in it (succulents) has up and died, LOL! The branch/twig obelisk I made this year (which I am kind of proud of... especially since I have so little woodworking skills, lol!!) Hope I didn't go overboard on the pics... CMK

Truck is running after charging the battery. Radio didn't sound weak (didn't check lights) but just not enough to turn over. DH cut 6 ft hoops out of the 9AWG wire and I got bird netting up over the strawberries (going to be a pain to get in there, we put so many pegs in to hold it into the ground and keep critters out). Pulled a bunch that strayed, waiting to hear if my cousin wants them, if not I might pot them up tomorrow to sell ? DD helped me pot up a couple dozen cherry toms that were outgrowing the 7206 (is that the right term?) 6 packs. DS helped DH put up the deer netting around the garden - DH put in T posts and cable-tied the ENT to them, but since he expanded the garden the 100ft we had from 2 years past wasn't enough. Only need 30ft more and I didn't want to cut the 100ft roll I bought at HD the other day so we just knocked off to clean up and run to local ice cream shop for burgers and cones before DS has another Scout thing. I swear he's got something going every night! Still waiting to get pix from guy who has the PVC fencing on CL. But the T posts with ENT will be fine for this year, not sure we should leave the netting (or the ENT?) out over the winter but not going to pull the T posts now. DH was cursing - I guess they don't have rocks in TX?! If I don't order from Farmtek or figure something by the time kale, etc. is ready to go in (tonight is 1st night outside) I'll just put up the 100 ft I have overlapping 70ft of it so I don't have to cut it - we'll probably expand the house garden more in the future, seems we do every year. Just means DH has to put in 2-6 more T posts ;-)

I have been spending my pennies at yard sales and estate sales to add to my garden and come home with some treasures! I almost feel the need to stop , almost! Haha i picked up this swan this weekend . Here's the rest of my treasure . It's not all where I want it but I'll be working on that soon Gonna be a petunia planter .. Flea market gold ! Got this feeder , it will go on top of a rickety wood ladder and support my honeysuckle vine .
