Update: The frame arrived in 2 days. It looks very easy to install. Yeah! Boo. It is ONLY designed if if you have a headboard and footboard, not headboard only. It doesn't really say this on the website, just says "use your fullsize headboard and footboard" not that both are *required*. So, I will have to return it. They said the return shipping can be expensive, but they are only maybe a little more than an hour drive, so I will drive it back some time next week. Maybe I can find a new queen headboard while I'm there.

I have 2 metal beds - one with headboard only and the other has a very low footboard - it doesn't even come to the top of the mattress. In a small bedroom I think a high footboard is intrusive, that's why we went with a low profile one. mMybe it's just me but I'm not fond of footboard. I like a cleaner look without one.

LOL Jen! That would not have been good. My hubby uses the swip to type since it's a terrible typist and with his eye sight not being what it used to be, he's sent me some pretty funny texts. Yeah MazGG, if smart phones really were smart they'd make us all look like models in our selfies. Not that I take that many selfies but when I do..... Talk about worst invention, the flip camera on smart phones to take selfies, not a great idea. Nothing more attractive than having ones nose look bigger than it is and either the chicken neck or that look of gawking at something shocking with ones eyes bugging out because you can't see through any of your tri focal lenses to see if your expression looks normal or not. It's always "not".

I have an old art deco bed with a 12" deep headboard (it has a bookcase or niche or whatever you wanna call it) and about 8" of footboard, waterfall style with big chunky feet. To fit it in a tiny guest room, I bought a plain metal frame and stuck the footboard and rails in a closet. Didn't even attach them as the headboard can stand on its own. I think the very tall guest appreciates it. That footboard isn't very big. Just try it out and if it doesn't work, put the extra parts in the attic. :) Or....find a vintage bed like this one is trying to copy. It'll be better quality and you won't feel like you paid full price for a bunch of extra parts.
