Still more from New Mexico. This is the Florida Mt. range.It's not pronounced like the state but, with the Spanish pronunciation, Flow ree da. these are ancient mountains, when southern NM and west Texas was a shallow inland sea and oil deposits were laid down 100 million years ago these mts. were islands in the sea. A fantastic place to wander around and look for fossils. Also, in the early 1900's African ibex were introduced and they have thrived. On rare occasions you catch a glimpse of them.
