Walkup House in Waxhaw, N.C. It was in a state of great disrepair when my mother lived in Waxhaw years ago so I was delighted to find, on a recent trip, that it has been beautifully restored.

Mrs. Bluebird, she wasn't brave enough to come get a drink from the leaky faucet ;0)

Lori and Doug put up a mini tree, as they are not going to be home for Christmas this year. This might be their last year without kids, and they decided to come here, and then go to Doug's parents as well.

We are in the midst of an ice storm. Here is my 'view' out the south window.

I have had this rub on stencil on this window for about 14 years! Would LOVE to find another...but haven't so far.
