Yes, the rainfall in Iowa and floods have been unreal, millions of dollars of losses in farm crops, ruined soil, homes, hospitals, schools and businesses for many Iowans. I'm beginning to appreciate the value of hostas and some perennials though compared to my roses in terms of trouble, when it comes time to divide, will cross that bridge when I come to it and make sure my spade is sharp and have a good knife, possibly a machete might be better :-) Still even though we had a good rain last night, what isn't mulched dries out pretty fast I noticed today. They said on the news that the subsoil was saturated again, but we needed some rain for the top.

So funny. DH and I were both so annoyed the other night because the TV remote seemed to be dying. I was able to step back and laugh at the situation pretty quickly. DH, a little less so! The sad thing is that it took us a while to figure out how to turn off the TV without a remote! A couple of years ago when we were having our beach cottage renovated, we were regularly p.o.'ed at the delays but we were both able to laugh and say, "yeah, poor us, it's going to take an extra few weeks to custom rebuild our beach house!" The sad thing is, there are so many people out there who can't step back and put it in perspective.

LOL Yes this is very true. Trying to do this myself today. Worked my butt off Monday trying to get all the hard work done so I could take two days off the first going to the chiropractor. Trying to rest my back/neck today. Otherwise all is going good. Goofy weather today. Trying to find the right stations on Pandora to listen to. I like the oldies. Just not finding the right ones yet.

I get a catalog occasionally, that has novelty T shirts, and saw one with that saying on it. I thought oh, gosh, how true....sadly. Guess I;m not a lone ranger. LOL
