A gentler time....when couples were content to spend an afternoon drifting around in rowboats.

I'm guessing an even older time.
Picking down off of live geese for a comforter. The little girl in the picture is my great aunt, Marion, who'll celebrate her 101st birthday in a couple weeks.

I love that picture, Ron (although I'm guessing the geese weren't so crazy about it). It must have been a perfectly still day; the down and feathers would be airborne otherwise. You sure have the longevity gene in your family!

On my way to the front door this morning to go out to the paper box, I saw this little buy sitting on the arm of the wicker chair on the porch. He stayed long enough for me to grab my camera, photo is not too clear,as it was taken through the screen door.

Great Aunt Marion is quite a character. 2 years ago she finally moved off the farm and into an assisted living facility. She sold her car although she still has a valid drivers license. Now she takes a shuttle bus a few blocks to the store once a week for her groceries. My Mom saw her there a couple months ago, groceries in a bag, sitting on a bench by the door, waiting for the other elderly people to finish their shopping. "Hi. Marion. How are you?"
"Well, these old people take forever to do their shopping."
Marion was at least 10 years older than any of the other shoppers but, still feels like she's hanging around with a bunch of old people. It's all in the attitude.

Ouray Nicole? Do you live there? I have a friend who lives there.

bigbaby.....no. I live in another mountain town, about 6 hours away(closer to Colorado Springs). :0) Does your friend own a shop there? Dh & I always wonder what people do for a living in those cold, high altitude towns. :0)
